New students can explore CityU Library through 3 different ways:

(1) Watch the introduction video of CityU Library at library website

(2) Go to exhibition wall at HLG02 to learn more about library services

(3) Attend library exhibtion at G/F Ho Yin Convention Centre

2﹑Get Ready for Reading in CityU

Earn a stationery set (notebook and pan) by completing 3 missions below:

(1) Follow CityU library WeChat official account "CityuLIB"

(2) Take photos at library

(3) Loan an item and start your reading journey

 

Targets: Freshman of 2021 semester

Collection: Approach circulatoin counter and present the screenshots/photos

３﹑"Welcome Freshman" Book Exhibition

Well-selected books of Economics and Finance, tourism, language study are exhibited at library.

Location: Library (Taipa Campus)

4﹑Test Your Library Knowledge

Answer questions closely related to library services. Each participant will be rewarded with special gift.

５﹑Library Training Course

Introduce library resources, facilities and services. 4 courses in total and each will be held at 17:00-18:00 every Friday in September. 

Date:  03 September, 10 September, 17 September, 24 September

Location：Discussion Room 1, Library (Taipa Campus)

 

6﹑Library Training Course for freshman

Introduce library services and resources to new students

Time and location：organized by university

 

7﹑Understanding Library Services and Databases

Subject librarian will offer training courses that provide an introuduction to library services and highlight key databases that are helpful for your study and research.
