New Database: Countries, Regions and Global Governance

 Introduction 

Countries, Regions and Global Governance(CRGG)is an academic digital product established by Social Sciences Academic Press (China). It aims at a emerging subject, country and regional studies and focuses on country research, regional research, international organizations, global think tanks, and other fields. It integrates more than 300,000 articles of basic information, first-hand materials, and scientific research achievements comprehensively.

01 Country Research Database

Introduction

Contains Country Database and Global Issue Database

 

Country Database

Country Database integrates basic information, research results and statistical data on the national conditions and development status of countries around the world. It covers 196 countries and features seven major topics: history, politics, economy, culture, military, diplomacy and society. It collects first-hand data from countries around the world, especially research data of 25 small and medium-sized countries, including data from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations Population Division and other international organizations, and presents them in visual charts.

 

Global Issue Database

It focuses on 5 core topics, namely, politics and diplomacy, economic development, social ecology, military security, and cultural science and technology.

 

02 Regional Research Database

Introduction

It consists of 10 sub-databases, including European Studies, Northeast Asian Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, South Asian Studies, Central Asian Studies, Central and Eastern European Studies, African Studies, Latin American Studies, Middle East Studies, and Asia-Pacific Studies. 


Types of Resources

The database is based on various international regions, and integrates basic data, research monographs, think tank reports, annual data and other content resources on hot topics and research status.

 

03 International Organization Database

Introduction

There are 3 sub-databases, namely list of organizations, research results, and organization documents. Nearly 5,000 organizations have been listed and more than 230,000 organization documents have been included.


List of Organizations

It summarizes the information of major international organizations around the world, providing basic information such as history, institutional settings, working languages, organization members, mission and functions, activities, and publications, as well as link to the official website and contact information.

 

Research Results

It integrates the research performances of major international organizations, showing the development status, functions of the organizations which provides assistances of conducting research on global governance. 

 

Organization Documents

It collects official documents issued by over 100 the most influential intergovernmental organizations around the globe, including treaties, agreements and resolutions. 

 

04 Global Think Tank Database

Introduction 

It contains 3 sub-databases, including list of think tanks, overseas Chinese studies and achievements. 4500 global think tanks have been listed and over 400 overseas Chinese studies organizations and more than 2000 articles can be found in this database.

 

List of Think Tanks

It summarizes the information of global think tanks and research institutions of overseas Chinese studies, including the history, purpose and functions, research fields, activities and publications.

 

Overseas Chinese Studies

It focuses on Chinese issues and studies, providing information of history, purpose and functions, research fields, activities and publications of overseas Chinese studies organizations.

 

Achievements

It collects and publishes academic achievements of globa think tanks, giving their perspectives and reflecting the current status and trends of global think tank research.

 

05 Research Project Database

Introduction

There are 10 sub-databases for global medical and public health research, world history, world political parties, world military, world energy, world trade, world cities, world environment, world socialism, and BRICS research.

It focuses on national and regional scientific research needs and closely follows national and regional scientific research hotspots, and continuously launches new sub-databases. There are more than 10 featured topics in each sub-database.

 

06 Academic Information Database

Introduction

It contains 6 sub-databases of academic conferences, archives, scientific research guides, experts and scholars, scientific research institutions, and graph data.

Detailed information on national and regional research scholars, research institutions, key points of project application in the field of national and regional research, important topic information, scientific research experience sharing, academic conference minutes, academic activities, academic research frontier results and other information are collected. The chart data summarizes the statistical chart data related to the study of the country and region.

▪ 原版閱讀 (read original version): Report will be displayed in original book layout. It provides an alternative reading method for readers who prefer reading printed books. It supports printing, zoom in/out, page jump, etc.
